Storytelling sensation Tenx9 returns to Newry for Iúr Cinn Fleadh 2024.
Tenx9 is a modern day monologue phenomenon – and it’s coming to St John Bosco Social Alub on 22 August.
TRUE STORIES
It’s a storytelling evening where nine people have up to ten minutes each to tell a true story from their own life. For Iúr Cinn Fleadh, nine true stories will be shared on the theme of ‘Newry’.
Tenx9 was created in 2011 by Paul Doran and Pádraig Ó Tuama at the Black Box in Belfast. It aims to strip away the barriers that prevent people from sharing their experiences. It is always free of charge.
Everyone has a story. ordinary stories, extraordinary stories, stories that delight, entertain, educate, stories that make you laugh, think, hope and cry. Stories are the raw material from which we live our lives.
NEWRY NATIVE
Fiction is great, but tenx9 is not for fiction stories. These events are for telling real stories only. So whether you’re a Newry native, a blow-in, visitor or whatever, get in touch with your true story at tenx9.com/submissions.
If you prefer to be an audience member, we need you to be there, too! We can’t tell stories into an empty space. Come along and share in the power of story. The first story will be told at 8pm.
